We use our eyes and our vision during the day to do so many things. We employ it to see the morning light. We are going around hunting for the right garments for the day. We use our vision at work. You are basically using your eyes and vision to read this article on Helium. But do we do enough to look after our vision health? We all wish to, but many of us do not. But looking after our vision is crucial. So what are we able to do to look after our vision? Well, these are some tips that will help :

* Eat right – Yes, there’s no part or function of our body that may be healthy without the right food. So what should we eat for healthy eyes? Vitamins A, B2, C and E are the key here. We also must take a good quantity of selenium and zinc in our diet. Green leafy vegetables, eggs, oranges and milk are only a few things which can help guarantee an excellent supply of these nutrient elements.

* Drink right – Too much coffee and too much tea aren’t good for the eyes. Fruit juices like OJ and plant juices like carrot juice are excellent for your vision. And do not forget those 8-12 tumblers of water! It is not only crucial for your eyes but also for the remainder of your body.

* Give breaks to your eyes – This one is extraordinarily crucial, particularly if you’re consistently working on the PC or reading a lot. Blink as frequently as possible. Each twenty mins make efforts to look away towards a far off object. Or just shut your eyes for 1 or 2 minutes. Relaxing your eyes will help will prevent eye strain and vision decay.

* Exercise your eyes – Yes, eyes should be exercised also. So exercise them if you get the time. Rolling your eyes clockwise and then anti-clockwise is a simple and amazing exercise that will help a lot in maintaining vision health. Another straightforward exercise is to look from one side to the other and then back. After doing this ten times, follow it up by another exercise. This involves having a look at the middle of the eyebrows, then at the end of your nose and back to the middle of the eyebrows. You can do these exercises whenever you desire.

* Sleep Well – Remember how your eyes have a tendency to hurt and how your vision is all blurred when you do not sleep well? Well, let that be a lesson and ensure that you get at least eight hours of sleep at night daily.

* Get a yearly checkup – Do not forget that annual eye checkup! So schedule an appointment with your eye expert right now to test the fitness of your vision.

A high-quality diet, relaxing your eyes in the day, exercising them daily and sleeping well will make sure that your vision stays on as fit as ever. Just like we want to take care of our body, we want to take care of our vision. So today onwards, take a promise to cease taking your vision for granted and take care of your eyes!
